Membership Management

1. How can I change my email address used by this list/group?
2. How can I unsubscribe from this list/group?
3. How can I stop getting emails from this list/group without unsubscribing?
4. How can I change to the Digest (one e-mail/day containing the daily postings) delivery method?

These are things you can easily do yourself and, in fact, no one except you
can change your email address.

HERE'S HOW:

1. Go to the appropriate group:
<http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/hlcc-tx>
or
<http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/hlcc-txdg>
and, if necessary, sign in. The Sign In link is at the top of the page just to the right of the Yahoo! Groups logo. If it says Sign Out, that means you're still signed in from a previous session.

2. On the line just below the Sign In/Sign Out link, you will see a line with your Yahoo ID and email address. To the right of that is a link:
Edit Membership

3. Click 'Edit Membership' and you will be taken to the Edit Membership page that resembles:


Yahoo! Profile

This profile will be used to identify you when you access the group's Web features.
[your Yahoo! ID] (Add new profile)
 
Email Address

Choose the email address that you would like group messages sent to.
(Add new email address)
 
Message Delivery

    • Individual emails - Receive individual messages.
    • Daily digest - Receive a daily compilation of many emails in one message.
    • Special notices - Receive only important email notices from the group moderator.
    • No email - I'll read messages on the web site.

Message Format

    • Convert to HTML - Convert plain-text messages sent to me to HTML.
    • Do not convert to HTML - Don't change the format of messages I receive.

      Note: The HTML format allows you to see colors and graphics in your messages.

Save Changes | Reset | Leave Group

4. If you wish to unsubscribe, look on the bottom of the 'Edit Membership' page to the right of 'Save Changes' and you will see 'Leave Group'. Click on 'Leave Group' to unsubscribe.

5. Make the appropriate changes to your list/group membership. IMPORTANT!! Once you change your options, REMEMBER to click on 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the 'Edit Membership' page in order to activate your new options.

Emailed unsubscribe request:
Another easy way to unsubscribe is included at the bottom of every list/group email where it says:

<*> To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to:
    hlcc-tx-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
or

<*> To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to:
    hlcc-txdg-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

The unsubscribe email must be sent from the subscribed email account. It requires no text or subject -- anything included is ignored anyway. But one must reply to a confirmation email sent by YahooGroups to be sure that the original request is legitimate. That's easy -- click on Reply and send it. If one can't remember the Yahoo! ID and/or password, this is the easiest way to unsubscribe.
